Cocamide DEA, or cocamide diethanolamine, is a diethanolamide produced by reacting a mixture of fatty acids from coconut oil with diethanolamine. It is a viscous liquid that is used as a foaming agent in bath products such as shampoos and hand soaps, as well as in cosmetics as an emulsifier.
