Polystyrene is an amorphous polymer, a glassy substance. It exists in two main modifications due to the use of various additives in the production process. Different processing methods make it possible to obtain materials that differ significantly in properties, such as expanded polystyrene and general-purpose polystyrene. These properties allow the use of ready-made block or sheet polystyrene in a wide variety of applications. Styrene derivatives are widely used in packaging products, construction, advertising and lighting equipment.
